Determinants of Cyberattack Prevention in UAE Financial Organizations: Assessing the Mediating Role of Cybersecurity Leadership

Cyberattack prevention factors have a significant impact on the perception of social and moral values in business context. Despite leaders’ role encouraging enculturating cybersecurity practices their organizations, there is noticeable gap literature to highlight empirically how leaders top management organizations foster organizational cybersecurity. Therefore, this study aims explore leadership financial preventing cyberattacks investigate other human non-technical related individual organizations. Based Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), research framework was developed with tallying new variables focusing an organization’s leadership, training frequency, government frequent alerting. This employed quantitative method. The data were collected through questionnaire from 310 executive officers selected banks UAE that use digital technology enhance daily banking operations. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), results indicated (1) association between all investigated independent hypothesis (H8–H14); (2) mediates relationship cyberattack prevention, (H15, H16–H22); (3) no (H1–H6), except (H4 H7), which show association. coefficient viewed as element against based findings.
